Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Kingston

KINGSTON, NY — A 22-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle while crossing in a marked crosswalk on March 4, 2026.

Kingston Police responded to the area of East O’Reilly Street at approximately 6:44 p.m. for a report of a motor vehicle versus pedestrian accident.

The pedestrian, a Kingston resident, was crossing in a marked crosswalk heading northwest at East O’Reilly Street when she was struck.

The operator of the vehicle, a 34-year-old Kingston resident, was heading southeast on Broadway and made a left turn onto East O’Reilly Street.

As the vehicle made the turn, it struck the pedestrian while she was in the crosswalk.

The operator and vehicle remained at the scene.

Members of the Kingston Police Department’s Patrol and Detective Division responded to the scene to assist with and investigate the incident.

The pedestrian was conscious and alert upon officers’ arrival.

She was transported to HealthAlliance Hospital by the Kingston Fire Department for injuries sustained during the incident.

Two Uniform Traffic Tickets were issued off scene based on an investigation into the incident.
