Man arrested on theft, drug charges in Horseheads

HORSEHEADS, NY — A Pine Valley man was arrested March 3, 2026, on charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree after allegedly stealing from Walmart.

Christopher J. Hess, 44, was issued appearance tickets to appear in Horseheads Town Court at a later date, according to Sheriff William A. Schrom.

An Auburn woman was arrested March 4, 2026, on an outstanding arrest warrant on charges of petit larceny issued by Horseheads Town Court on Feb. 3, 2026.

Jennifer R. Smith, 40, was arraigned by Horseheads Town Court and released.

A VanEtten woman was arrested March 4, 2026, for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree following a traffic stop in the town of VanEtten.

Allison T. Pratt, 24, was issued an appearance ticket to appear in VanEtten Town Court at a later date.

A Horseheads woman was arrested March 5, 2026, on multiple charges including driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the car and endangering the welfare of a child following a welfare check in the town of Horseheads.

Allexyss M. Mitstifer, 27, was issued appearance tickets to appear in Horseheads Town Court and released.
