JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested after allegedly pushing a woman down a flight of stairs during a domestic dispute on March 3, 2026.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s First Platoon responded to a northside residence at approximately 7:43 a.m. for a report of a physical domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, officers determined that Doughshon L. Gholston, 51, of Jamestown, had pushed a female victim down a short flight of stairs, resulting in minor injuries.
Gholston initially resisted arrest as officers were placing him into custody, but he was subdued after a brief struggle.
Gholston was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and charged with assault in the third degree and resisting arrest.
He is being held pending arraignment.
