KINGSBURY, NY — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a woman following a fatal motor vehicle collision on State Route 4.
Rhonda A. Sexton, 51, of Fort Ann, was charged with criminally negligent homicide, a class E felony, according to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy.
The crash occurred Saturday on State Route 4 in Kingsbury.
An investigation determined that Sexton was traveling northbound when she crossed the center line and acted in a negligent manner, causing the death of Keri Pike, the operator of a southbound vehicle.
Sexton was arraigned at centralized arraignment and released.
She is scheduled to appear in Kingsbury Court at a later date.
The sheriff’s office investigation and road patrol divisions handled the case.
The New York State Police assisted with the investigation.
