Multiple arrests reported in Salamanca

SALAMANCA, NY — Police reported multiple arrests over a week-long period ending March 3.

Jay Weitzel, 65, of Salamanca, was taken into custody Feb. 25 for second-degree harassment following a complaint in the city.

Weitzel was issued an appearance ticket and released.

Michelle Miller, 43, of Salamanca, was taken into custody Feb. 26 following a traffic stop in the city.

Miller was issued one uniform traffic ticket for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Miller was released from the scene with a later court date.

Darren Boon, 25, of Little Valley, was taken into custody Feb. 26 following a complaint in the city.

Boon was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.

Boon was processed and held for arraignment.

Nicholas Hughes, 43, of Salamanca, was taken into custody Feb. 28 on a bench warrant issued out of Salamanca City Court.

Hughes was additionally charged with resisting arrest and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia following a brief foot pursuit.

Hughes was held for arraignment.

Carrie Dowdy, 37, of Salamanca, was taken into custody March 1 following a traffic stop in the city.

Dowdy was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, refusal to take a breath test and driving while intoxicated with previous convictions in the last 10 years.

Alicia Kindt, 37, of Salamanca, was taken into custody March 1 following a complaint in the city.

Kindt was charged with disorderly conduct and endangering the welfare of a child.

Kindt was processed and released.

Jamie Jimerson, 51, of Salamanca, was taken into custody March 3 following a traffic stop in the city.

Jimerson was issued three uniform traffic tickets for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, no turn signal and improper exhaust.

Jimerson was released from the scene with an appearance ticket for a later court date.

Donte Lawson, 29, of Salamanca, was taken into custody March 3 on an arrest warrant issued out of Salamanca City Court.

Lawson was processed and held for arraignment.
