Multiple arrests made in Back Bay shoplifting operation

BOSTON, MA — Boston Police arrested two suspects and issued a summons to a third during a shoplifting enforcement operation at the Prudential Center Mall on Monday evening.

Officers assigned to District D-4 were conducting patrols inside the mall at 800 Boylston Street at approximately 6 p.m. as part of an ongoing shoplifting initiative.

Police were alerted to a man concealing merchandise inside his jacket at the Alo store.

Officers stopped the suspect and recovered the stolen item after observing him pinning his arm to his jacket.

The suspect resisted arrest by tensing his arms, requiring multiple officers to assist with handcuffing him, according to police.

A search of the suspect’s bag revealed two plastic bags of fentanyl and two plastic bags of crack cocaine.

Brandon Frazier, 38, of Boston, was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on charges of shoplifting by asportation second offense, possession of class A, possession of class B, resist arrest, disturbing the peace and assault and battery on a police officer.

At approximately 6:40 p.m., officers observed a woman exit the Lululemon store with multiple pieces of unpaid merchandise.

Police stopped the suspect on Boylston Street and recovered the stolen items.

The woman experienced a medical issue and was transported to a local hospital.

She will be summonsed to Boston Municipal Court on a charge of shoplifting over $250 by asportation.

Around 7 p.m., officers observed a man leaving the Lululemon store with two jackets he had removed from a display rack.

Police stopped the suspect and recovered the jackets, as well as stolen merchandise from the Eataly store.

Anthony Boisvert, 33, of Boston, was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on a charge of shoplifting by asportation third offense.

Police determined Boisvert had two active warrants out of Quincy District Court.
