PEPPERELL, MA — A local man faces multiple firearms charges following an investigation into illegal gun manufacturing and conspiracy.
Derek Tripp, 40, of Pepperell, was arrested after police executed a search warrant in the town on March 3.
Officers discovered several illegal firearms, numerous loaded high-capacity magazines, gun parts, accessories and thousands of rounds of ammunition during the search, according to the Pepperell Police Department.
Tripp is charged with possession of ammunition without an FID card, possession of a large capacity firearm, improper storage of a firearm, 24 counts of possession of a large capacity feeding device and carrying a dangerous weapon.
The Pepperell Police Department led the investigation with assistance from the Nashua Police Department.
The Groton and Ayer police departments also provided assistance during the execution of multiple search warrants.
