LINCOLN, RI — A Massachusetts man has been arrested in connection with a bank fraud scheme that allegedly netted more than $85,000 at two Rhode Island casinos.
Cameron D. Webbe, 27, of Mattapan, Massachusetts, was arrested Feb. 28 at approximately 9:10 p.m. by the Gaming Enforcement Unit.
Webbe faces multiple charges including one count of bank fraud, three counts of obtaining money under false pretenses over $1,500, four counts of obtaining money under false pretenses under $1,500, one count of passing counterfeit certificates, bill or notes, and three conspiracy counts.
The charges stem from an investigation into fraudulent activity that occurred in December 2025 at cashier cages at Bally’s Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort and Bally’s Tiverton Casino Hotel.
The total amount involved in the alleged fraud exceeded $85,000.
Webbe was processed at Lincoln Woods Barracks and appeared before a bail commissioner.
He was released on $25,000 personal recognizance bail.
