Man arrested on domestic assault charge in Shaftsbury

SHAFTSBURY, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a man on domestic assault and resisting arrest charges following a reported family fight.

Troopers from the Shaftsbury Barracks responded to a residence in Shaftsbury at approximately 6:21 a.m. Monday for a report of a family fight.

An investigation revealed that Bradley M. Betit, 40, of Shaftsbury, had committed domestic assault by causing injury to a household member, according to police.

Betit was placed under arrest and resisted arrest, police said.

He was transported to the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks for processing.

Betit was then transported to Bennington County Superior Court – Criminal Division to answer to the charges.
