MARLBORO, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a New Jersey man on aggravated assault and disorderly conduct charges following a disturbance at a residence on Vermont Route 9.
Troopers from the Westminster barracks responded to a report of a disturbance at 11:29 p.m. March 2 and conducted an investigation.
Cooper T. Vanwagner, 28, of Ocean Township, New Jersey, was determined to have assaulted another individual, police said.
Vanwagner was transported to the Vermont State Police barracks in Westminster for processing.
He was issued a criminal citation and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on March 2, 2026, at 12:30 p.m.
Vanwagner was issued conditions of release and lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility on $1,000 bail.
