SCHENECTADY, NY — Police arrested a man after responding to a shots fired call on March 1, 2026.
Members of the Schenectady Police Department responded to the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue at approximately 9:19 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
Upon investigation, officers determined that an occupant of 817 Lincoln Avenue had discharged a rifle in the backyard of the residence.
The suspect was detained at the scene without incident and transported to the Schenectady Police Department for processing.
Ruben Udairam, 43, of Schenectady, was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment in the first degree, a class D felony.
