Man arrested on DUI charge in Wells River

WELLS RIVER, VT — A New Hampshire man was arrested on a DUI charge early Friday morning following a traffic stop.

Daniel Currier, 46, of Bath, New Hampshire, was stopped by Vermont State Police troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks at 12:11 a.m. on U.S. Route 302 at U.S. Route 5.

Troopers were on routine patrol when they observed a motor vehicle violation.

During the traffic stop, troopers detected indicators of impairment while speaking with Currier.

Currier was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the Bradford outpost for processing.

He was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division and released.

This is Currier’s third DUI offense.
