POWNAL, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a man early Sunday morning following a reported family fight on Lincoln Street.
Benjamin Farrington, 31, of Pownal, was taken into custody at approximately 2:57 a.m. March 1, 2026.
Police responded to a dispatch report of a family fight at a residence on Lincoln Street.
Following an investigation at the scene, Farrington was arrested on charges of unlawful restraint in the second degree and domestic assault.
Farrington was transported to the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks.
He was released on conditions with a citation to appear in Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on March 2, 2026, at 12:30 p.m.
