Woman arrested on warrant in Highgate

HIGHGATE, VT — A woman was arrested on an active warrant early Friday morning after state police responded to a 911 hangup call.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks responded to a report of a 911 hangup call at an address on Cook Road at approximately 4:17 a.m.

During the investigation, Liberty Frechette, 21, of Highgate, was encountered and found to have an active warrant for her arrest.

Frechette was taken into custody on the warrant and transported to Chittenden Regional Correctional Center in South Burlington, where she was held on $200 bail.

Frechette was additionally issued a flash citation ordering her to appear before the Franklin County Criminal Court on Feb. 27 at 1 p.m.

The active warrant contained a charge of retail theft of $250 or less.
