TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — Police arrested a 47-year-old man on multiple charges including ghost gun manufacturing and stalking following a welfare check that led to a months-long investigation.
Matthew George, of Coventry, was taken into custody Thursday on the strength of two arrest warrants.
The investigation began as a welfare check at a residence where officers discovered evidence that ghost guns were being manufactured, police said.
A Risk Warrant and Risk Protection Order were obtained, followed by an arrest warrant.
Further investigation revealed that George had been stalking a family member for several months, according to police.
An additional arrest warrant was granted and George was arrested on all charges.
George was charged with illegal possession of an assault weapon, manufacture of a ghost gun, electronic stalking and second-degree stalking.
He was held on a combined $400,000 bond and arraigned at Rockville Superior Court on Thursday.
