Woman charged with grand larceny in Bath

BATH, NY — A woman was arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle on Liberty Street near the police department on Jan. 19, 2026.

Members of the Village of Bath Police Department heard screaming on Liberty Street at approximately 1:57 p.m.

Officers encountered a victim who reported his vehicle had just been stolen.

The victim said when he began screaming, the female suspect exited his vehicle and ran.

Officers located the suspect hiding behind a dumpster in the area and took her into custody.

The suspect was identified as Cloey S. Hoaglin, 22, of Bath.

Hoaglin was charged with one count of grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony.

She was transported to the Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment where she remains held with the opportunity for bail.
