Warrant issued for man in Scotrun domestic incident

SCOTRUN, PA — Police are seeking a man wanted on strangulation and assault charges following a domestic incident early Sunday morning.

Officers from Pocono Township Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Hemlock Trail at approximately 2:20 a.m. Sunday for a domestic disturbance.

Officers made contact with the victim and observed marks on her neck consistent with being choked.

The victim told officers her boyfriend, Jake E. Jahada, 41, of Scotrun, choked her with both hands and continued to choke her with his forearm.

Jahada fled the residence before officers arrived.

A warrant was obtained Monday for Jahada on charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment.
