Truck strikes plow truck on Interstate 91 in Thetford

THETFORD, VT — A Groton man suffered serious injuries after his pickup truck rear-ended a state plow truck on Interstate 91 South on Feb. 25, 2026.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to the crash at mile marker 82.4 at approximately 8:51 a.m.

Ronin Moulton, 20, of Groton, was driving a 2009 Ford F150 southbound when he struck a 2017 International plow truck that was plowing snow in the passing lane.

Moulton suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment.

The plow truck was operated by Angela Pero, 51, of Thetford, with passenger Cameron Jarvis, 35, of Hartford.

Both Pero and Jarvis were evaluated by EMS at the scene.

A third vehicle, a 2019 Jeep Compass operated by Brynna Riley, 33, of Ryegate, exited the roadway to avoid the collision but suffered no damage.

Troopers issued a violation to a passing motorist who was recording the crash scene on a phone while driving past.

Weather conditions at the time included cloudy skies with snowfall and partial snow cover on the roadway.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by members of the Thetford Fire Department, Upper Valley Ambulance and the Vermont Agency of Transportation.
