Man charged with retail theft in New Castle

NEW CASTLE, PA — A man has been charged with misdemeanor retail theft after allegedly leaving a tobacco shop with more than $600 in merchandise without paying.

The incident occurred Feb. 21, 2026, at the Tobacco and Vape shop at 900 Wilmington Ave.

Police said the suspect left the store with the unpaid merchandise.

The New Castle Police Department released a photo of the suspect and requested public assistance in identifying him.

The suspect was identified Feb. 26, 2026, and charges were filed.
