FREDONIA, NY — A man was arrested on drug charges after controlled substances were found in his possession while entering a courtroom on Feb. 25, 2026.
James D. Mawhir was discovered with the drugs at approximately 9:52 a.m. at the Village of Fredonia courtroom, according to the Fredonia Police Department.
Officers located quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl.
Mawhir was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
He was arraigned in Village of Fredonia Court and released.
