NAUGATUCK, CT — Police arrested a man on an active felony warrant Feb. 24 after he refused to surrender at his apartment.
Officers responded to 53 Conrad Street at approximately 8 p.m. to serve an arrest warrant on Ali Orsini-Asani, 23, of Naugatuck.
Orsini-Asani had allegedly stolen a vehicle from Watertown earlier that day and fled from police when they attempted to apprehend him.
He was also wanted on an active felony warrant for violation of a protective order.
Police located Orsini-Asani inside his apartment, where he was uncooperative and refused to surrender.
Officers deployed additional resources, including the department’s K9 unit, detectives, patrol supervisors and patrol officers.
Officers eventually entered the residence and took Orsini-Asani into custody without injury to him or police personnel.
Orsini-Asani was held on $25,000 bond and appeared at Waterbury Superior Court at 9 a.m. Feb. 25.
