MEDFORD, MA — Two men were arrested following a stabbing outside a pet supply store this afternoon.
Medford Police responded to a report of a fight outside Pet Supplies Plus at 630 Fellsway at approximately 4 p.m.
Officers determined the individuals involved were known to each other.
During the altercation, an object was thrown through a vehicle window, causing damage.
The situation escalated into a physical fight, during which one adult male sustained stab wounds.
One of the men fled the scene before officers arrived but was located shortly after.
He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The second man remained at the scene and was taken into custody.
Both individuals are expected to face charges and will be arraigned in Somerville District Court at a later date.
Because the incident is domestic in nature, police said the names of those involved will not be released in accordance with Massachusetts law.
The investigation remains ongoing.
