Man reported missing in Lancaster

LANCASTER, NY — Police are searching for a 55-year-old man last seen in the village Sunday evening.

Matthew Cooksey was last seen in the Village of Lancaster on Feb. 23, 2026, at approximately 7 p.m., according to the Lancaster Police Department.

Cooksey is described as approximately 6 feet tall, heavy set, with dreadlocks.

Police said the clothing description is unknown.

Cooksey talked about a store located near Fillmore and Broadway, police said.
