SWANTON, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a man on a DUI charge following a single-vehicle crash on February 24, 2026.
Troopers received a report of the crash at approximately 2:31 p.m. in the vicinity of Sweet Hollow Road by Pond Road.
The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as Gavin Roddy, 41, of Sheldon.
While speaking with Roddy, troopers observed indicators of impairment and screened him for DUI.
Roddy was placed into custody for suspicion of DUI and transported to the St. Albans State Police Barracks for processing.
He was later released and issued a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on a charge of DUI with refusal.
