MILFORD, MA — A man was arrested Sunday after allegedly threatening his roommate with a knife.
The Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call at approximately 4:37 p.m. from an individual reporting a person known to them had attempted to stab them.
Officers arrived at the residence on Fells Avenue at approximately 4:39 p.m., where they encountered a male later identified as Alexandre Leite.
Leite initially told officers that no disturbance had occurred at the residence.
Officers then spoke with the reporting party inside the home, who stated that Leite had grabbed a large kitchen knife and threatened to kill both the caller and members of their family.
A struggle over the knife ensued before the reporting party was able to get to safety.
Leite then exited the residence.
At approximately 4:55 p.m., Alexandre Leite, 52, of Milford, was placed under arrest without further incident.
Leite has been charged with assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a household member, threats to commit a crime and warrant arrest.
Leite is being held on $10,000 bail at the Milford Police Department pending arraignment in Milford District Court.
