Pedestrian struck in hit-and-run in East Windsor

EAST WINDSOR, NJ — The East Windsor Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run incident in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle late Friday night in the Windsor Regency area.

Police said the incident occurred at approximately 10:42 p.m. on Garden View Terrace near Building 47.

According to authorities, a dark colored pickup truck struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene.

The vehicle reportedly stopped briefly after the collision to drop off a passenger at Building 50, before returning to drive through the crash site again while the injured pedestrian remained in the roadway.

The pedestrian sustained serious bodily injuries.

The Traffic Safety Unit is leading the investigation and is requesting assistance from the public.
