MARYLAND, NY — A woman faces multiple charges following a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Maryland on Wednesday.
Lisa M. Cooper, 60, of Schenevus, was arrested after deputies responded to a report of an erratic operator that escalated into a crash, according to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies located Cooper in the vicinity of the accident and determined she was operating the vehicle while intoxicated, police said.
Cooper allegedly obstructed uniformed sheriff’s deputies from conducting a lawful investigation.
She was charged with obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, driving while intoxicated, refusal to take a breath test, reckless driving, improper turn signal, improper use of four-way hazard lights, moved from lane unsafely, failed to keep right, disobeyed traffic control device and speed not reasonable and prudent.
Cooper was processed and released with uniform traffic tickets and appearance tickets.
She is scheduled to appear in Maryland Town Court at a later date.
