BEEKMANTOWN, NY — New York State Police charged a Plattsburgh man with multiple offenses following a domestic incident on Spellman Road.
James J. Pierre, 36, of Plattsburgh, was charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, Aggravated Family Offense, and Forcible Touching on Feb. 22, 2026.
Troopers responded to Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital at approximately 9:35 a.m. for a report of a domestic incident that had occurred at a residence in the town of Beekmantown.
An investigation determined that the victim was not feeling well and was experiencing difficulty breathing.
Pierre did not believe the victim and repeatedly requested sexual contact, which the victim refused.
The victim contacted 911 and requested an ambulance due to her medical condition and lack of transportation to the hospital.
While waiting for emergency medical services to arrive, Pierre continued to request sexual contact.
After the victim again refused, Pierre forcibly touched the victim without her consent.
The victim was able to distance herself from Pierre and wait safely for the ambulance to arrive.
Pierre was taken into custody and transported to SP Plattsburgh for processing.
He was arraigned in the Town of Beekmantown Court and released on his own recognizance.
