ASHFORD, NY — A 59-year-old man was arrested on a felony drug charge following a traffic stop in the Town of Ashford.
Michael A. Burdic, of Ashford, was taken into custody at approximately 11:58 a.m. Feb. 20, 2026, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Burdic was operating.
K9 Lex assisted with the investigation and positively alerted to the odor of narcotics.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine, according to authorities.
Burdic was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree.
He was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail.
