VICTORY, NY — A man died following a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in the Town of Victory.
Members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of Coolican Road near Kasson Way at approximately 3:29 a.m. Feb. 22 for a motor vehicle crash, according to Sheriff Brian Schenck.
The initial investigation showed that an SUV traveling north on Coolican Road went off the east side of the roadway and rolled over, ejecting the operator before coming to rest on the east side of the roadway.
The male operator was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The sole passenger of the vehicle was evaluated on scene for minor injuries.
The name of the deceased is not being released pending notification of family members.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the New York State Police, Red Creek Fire Department, Lakeshore Ambulance, Fair Haven Fire Department and Cayuga County 911.
