AUBURN, NY — A traffic stop on Seymour Street led to the arrest of a vehicle passenger on drug charges Thursday.
Members of the Auburn Police Department conducted the traffic stop and identified the passenger as Corey Gamlen.
Officers located a quantity of cocaine base, commonly known as crack cocaine, along with a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia during the stop.
Gamlen was taken into custody and transported to Auburn Police Department headquarters for processing.
A further search of Gamlen’s person revealed a quantity of U.S. currency and a quantity of fentanyl, according to police.
Gamlen was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a felony.
He was transported to the Cayuga County Jail for centralized arraignment processing.
