SOUTHBOROUGH, MA — A Leominster woman died early Friday in a two-vehicle crash on Route 9.
The Southborough Police and Fire Departments responded to Turnpike Road (Route 9 East) at about 2:51 a.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a serious motor vehicle crash.
First responders arrived to find a two-vehicle crash.
One of the drivers, a 37-year-old woman from Leominster, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver, a 23-year-old woman from Bolton, was transported by Southborough Fire to a local hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The crash is being actively investigated by the Southborough Police Department, along with members of the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Team and the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
