Man arrested on fugitive warrant in Castleton

CASTLETON, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a New York man on a fugitive warrant and an escape charge Friday.

Brandon Wade, 28, of Fort Ann, New York, was taken into custody after New York State Police notified Vermont authorities that Wade had an extraditable warrant and was in Vermont.

Troopers located Wade in Castleton at approximately 12:45 p.m.

While in custody, Wade attempted to escape, police said.

Wade was charged with being a fugitive from justice and attempts to escape.
