MARLBOROUGH, NH — A Londonderry man was arrested after barricading himself in a home Friday, ending an hours-long standoff.

At 6:02 a.m. Friday, state troopers responded to Mountain Drive to assist the Marlborough Police Department with a reported domestic-related incident involving a man with a handgun.

Earlier in the morning, officers from Marlborough, with assistance from members of the Jaffrey and Keene police departments, approached the home to engage with the man, identified as James Salisbury, 31, of Londonderry.

Salisbury did not respond to attempts at contact and remained barricaded inside the home.

Marlborough officers then requested assistance from the New Hampshire State Police, as well as members of the Peterborough and Dublin police departments, Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office, Cheshire County Emergency Medical Services, Marlborough Fire Department, and the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.

State troopers responded and assumed the lead of the incident.

Just after 11:30 a.m., Salisbury surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.

Salisbury has been charged with felony criminal threatening (domestic violence), criminal trespass, and breach of bail.

Police also determined Salisbury had two active warrants.

He remains held until an appearance in Keene District Court on Monday.
