CAMPTON, NH — A Plymouth man was arrested on two felony identity fraud charges following a months-long investigation.
Dustin Frye, 35, of Plymouth, was taken into custody on Feb. 19 by the Campton Police Department on a warrant.
The investigation began when a Campton resident reported being the victim of identity theft.
The charges allege that Frye posed as another person with the purpose to defraud in order to obtain money, credit, goods, services or anything else of value.
The charges also allege that Frye obtained or recorded personal identifying information about another person without express authorization, with the intent to pose as that person.
Each class A felony charge is punishable by up to 7½ to 15 years at the New Hampshire State Prison and a maximum fine of $4,000.
Additional charges are possible as the investigation remains ongoing.
The Plymouth Police Department assisted Campton Police in the arrest.
Frye was held on cash bail pending further appearance in 2nd Circuit Plymouth Court.
