Man charged after vehicle pursuit in Bolivar

BOLIVAR, NY — A Scio man faces multiple charges following a vehicle pursuit in February 2026.

Hunter S. Beckman, 22, of Scio, was charged with reckless driving and unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors, according to Bolivar police.

He also faces six infractions: three counts of speed in zone, two counts of failure to stop at a stop sign and operating an unregistered motor vehicle on a highway.

The charges stem from a pursuit that occurred Feb. 16, 2026.

Beckman was processed and issued appearance tickets for Town of Wirt court.
