Woman charged with assaulting officers in Campton

CAMPTON, NH — A woman who turned herself in on a warrant assaulted two officers during the booking process, police said.

Alyssa Young, 35, of Campton, surrendered to Campton Police on Feb. 18, 2026, at approximately 5 p.m. on a misdemeanor warrant for unlawfully possessing prescription drugs and transporting an open container of marijuana in a vehicle.

During booking, Young became uncooperative and assaulted two officers who were attempting to secure her in a holding cell, according to police.

Young was additionally charged with two misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest and three misdemeanor counts of simple assault on a law enforcement officer.

The officers did not require medical attention.

She was held without bail on preventative detention and transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections pending arraignment in 2nd Circuit Plymouth Court.
