Two charged in handgun theft in Blairsville

BLAIRSVILLE, PA — Two Johnstown men have been charged in connection with the theft of a handgun from a business on East Market Street.

Robert Steeves, 65, of Johnstown, faces charges of person not to possess firearms, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.

Patrick Adolph, 56, of Johnstown, has been charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, conspiracy and firearms not to be carried without a license.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred Feb. 3, 2026, when a handgun was stolen from a business on East Market Street.

Steeves was arrested and appeared before District Magistrate Robert Bell for a preliminary hearing.

A felony arrest warrant has been issued for Adolph, whose whereabouts are unknown.
