ENFIELD, CT — Two men were arrested on drug charges Feb. 18 following a traffic stop for a seatbelt violation.
Enfield police initiated the stop in the area of Hazard Avenue and Phoenix Avenue.
Officers observed narcotics paraphernalia in plain view during the stop, according to police.
Angelo Abair, 42, of Chicopee, Massachusetts, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia, operation of a drug factory, sales of narcotic substance, interfering with an officer and tampering with physical evidence.
Abair was held on a $200,000 cash/surety bond.
Nicholas Kozacka, 38, of Enfield, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, use of drug paraphernalia and failure to wear a seatbelt.
Kozacka was released after posting a $5,000 cash/surety bond.
