SOMERVILLE, MA — Police investigators recovered a military-grade AK-47 assault rifle hidden in a residential building this afternoon.
The weapon was found in the common area of the building during an operation assisted by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Two loaded magazines were also recovered with the rifle.
No arrests were immediately announced.
The Somerville Police Department thanked the DEA for its assistance in the investigation.
