Man arrested on federal charge in Naugatuck

NAUGATUCK, CT — A local man was arrested on a federal charge with assistance from Naugatuck police detectives.

Sean Sayer, 22, of Naugatuck, was arrested Feb. 17, 2026, for violating conditions of his pre-trial release, according to the Naugatuck Police Department.

The Detective Division assisted federal and state authorities in the arrest.

Sayer was ordered detained pending trial.

He was previously arrested on charges related to online child exploitation.
