SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A South Windsor man was arrested on drunken driving and other charges following a traffic stop on Route 5.
Ryan A. Poulin, 39, of South Windsor, was arrested Tuesday at 8:39 p.m. after police stopped his vehicle in the area of Route 5 and Sullivan Avenue for driving erratically, according to the South Windsor Police Department.
During the traffic stop, police believed Poulin was under the influence of alcohol.
Poulin consented to a Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which he failed.
He was taken into custody and charged with operating under the influence (second offense), failure to drive in proper lane and operating a motor vehicle with unsafe tires.
Poulin was processed and released on a $2,500 surety bond.
He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on March 9 at 9 a.m.
