HOPE VALLEY, RI — A woman turned herself in to state police on multiple fraud charges Monday afternoon.
Troopers arrested Francesca Sarantapoulas, 45, of Narragansett, at 4:45 p.m. on an affidavit and arrest warrant.
She faces charges of obtaining property by false pretenses/personation over $10,000, fraudulently obtaining public assistance over $500, fraudulent use of food stamps over $500, and giving false documents to an agent, employee or public official.
The charges originated from an investigation by the Hope Valley Barracks.
Sarantapoulas was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
She was released with a future Third District Court arraignment date.
