NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI — A Cumberland man was arrested on a drug charge following a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.
Peter J. Mardo, 23, of Cumberland, was taken into custody at 12:09 p.m. on Greenville Road.
Mardo was charged with manufacturing/delivery/possession with intent to deliver a Schedule I/II controlled substance (marijuana).
He was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed.
Mardo was held pending arraignment at Third Division District Court.
