ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Police arrested an 18-year-old man on charges of possessing child sexual abuse material following the execution of a search warrant.
Ian Garra, of Abington Township, was taken into custody on Feb. 16 after detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the Ardsley section of the township.
The search warrant followed an investigation into the suspected download of child sexual abuse material, according to the Abington Township Police Department.
Detectives determined that Garra had downloaded and was in possession of thousands of images and videos depicting child sexual abuse material, police said.
Garra was arraigned by Judge Todd N. Barnes, who denied bail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
