Body found near Tyngsborough Bridge

TYNGSBOROUGH, MA — The Tyngsborough Police Department is investigating an unattended death after a body was discovered near the Tyngsborough Bridge on Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to the area of the Tyngsborough Bridge at approximately 7:53 a.m. for reports of a body observed on the ice below the bridge.

Upon arrival, officers located the body of an adult male.

The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Tyngsborough Fire Department also responded and assisted with recovery efforts.

A preliminary investigation indicates this was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.

Foul play is not suspected.

The death remains under investigation by the Tyngsborough Police Department in conjunction with Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office.
