STROUDSBURG, PA — Stroud Area Regional Police arrested a woman Sunday on a bench warrant stemming from charges of resisting arrest, public drunkenness and evading arrest.

Danielle Marie Mazar, 41, of Pennsylvania, was taken into custody at 5:06 p.m. Feb. 15.

The bench warrant was issued Jan. 8 by Magisterial District Judge Johnson after Mazar failed to appear for court.

The original charges stem from an incident Aug. 5, 2025, when police were dispatched to the 700 block of Main Street at 4:23 p.m. for a report of an intoxicated female.

Officers located Mazar in municipal lot #3.

Police reported detecting a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from Mazar that intensified as she spoke.

Officers observed that her eyes were bloodshot and glassy and her speech was slurred.

When officers informed Mazar she was under arrest for public drunkenness, she said “no,” stepped back, turned and attempted to flee, according to police.

Mazar was caught and placed under arrest.

Police said she resisted officers while they attempted to handcuff her.

Mazar was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
