WOODBURY CITY, NJ — A man was rescued from a steep wooded incline Thursday evening after falling through ice.
The Mantua Township Fire Department’s Rescue 22 responded to Woodbury City for an ice rescue assignment.
Engine 5 arrived first and reported the patient was out of the water and ice but was located down a steep wooded incline.
Rescue 22 crews utilized a 3:1 Z rig system attached to a stokes basket to remove the patient.
The patient was removed without harm and turned over to emergency medical services for further evaluation.
