SARATOGA, NY — A woman was arrested on drunken driving charges following a property damage crash Thursday night on state Route 9P.
Kiera M. Walker, 25, of Mechanicville, was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, both unclassified misdemeanors.
She also was charged with operating a motor vehicle while using a portable electronic device, moving from lane unsafely and failing to notify the Department of Motor Vehicles of an address change, all infractions.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at 10:50 p.m. in the town of Saratoga.
Walker is accused of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and with a blood alcohol content of 0.16%.
Authorities said Walker was traveling south on Route 9P when she left her lane of travel and struck a stop sign on the west side of the roadway.
No other vehicles or persons were involved and no injuries were reported.
Walker was released on appearance tickets pending proceedings in Saratoga Town Court.
