Man arrested on drug, weapons charges in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, PA — Allentown police arrested a 20-year-old man on drug and weapons charges following the execution of a search warrant Friday morning.

Detectives from the Allentown Police Vice and Intelligence Unit, along with members of the Emergency Response Team and the Patrol Division, conducted the search warrant at approximately 6:15 a.m. in the 200 block of West Court Street.

Police said they found an AK-47 style rifle with a drum magazine, several high-capacity magazines, a stolen .38 caliber revolver, a .357 caliber revolver and two 9mm semi-automatic handguns.

Officers also recovered a ballistic vest, approximately 340 grams of marijuana, 141 THC cartridges, 5 jars of THC, Xanax pills, 7 grams of cocaine and $1,186 in U.S. currency, according to police.

Ryan Cruz-Pineiro, of Allentown, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, receiving stolen property and unlawful body armor, all felonies.

He also faces three misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
